Why I want to be a teacher?

I have always wanted to be a teacher. When I was very young, I wanted to be a ballerina teacher. However, as I grew up, what I wanted to teach changed with each grade. Once I was in high school, I knew that I was to be a high school teacher. I had a math teacher that was absolutely amazing. She took so much time explaining things in a way that was clear and everyone could understand. If you didn't understand, she would re-explain things in a way that would make it clear. She took time outside of class to help students and she just made math fun. I knew that there needed to be more math teachers like her and I hope that I can reach that standard. I want to make math fun for high school students and make them want to learn.

Good teachers provide an example -- and I am glad that your math teacher inspired you not only to learn, but also to be a teacher. Blessings as you prepare to be a teacher. And yes, learning can and must be fun!

I think that you have a great standard in what kind of teacher you want to be! I know that you will have your own style and make math fun for everyone. High school students need a teacher that will encourage them in a tough subject like math and you are the person to do that.
