"Flexible, Appropriate and Fun"
This article discusses the different methods that can be used using the SMARTboard. It discusses how the SMARTboard can be used and helpful for all age groups. Younger students are able to benefit from the SMARTboard because they can interact and dispense their energy using the SMARTboard. They can also feel a sense of belonging and responsibility if they can help set up and take down the SMARTboard.
For older students, they are able to take notes more efficiently. What the teacher writes and says can be recorded so that students can retrieve the information later and know that they didn't miss anything. If it is a classroom where the students can bring in laptops, they can connect their computer up to the SMARTboard so that they can easily show something on their computer without having to pull it up on the main computer.
The SMARTboard is also helpful in special needs classrooms. Students that have a hard time operating a mouse or even a pen can use their finger in order to write on the SMARTboard. That way the special needs students can take part in classroom learning just as much as other students are able to.
The SMARTboard has many more uses than I even knew they had. This article helps to show how I can use the SMARTboard in my high school math classroom and know that the students are being benefited by its use.
