I read the Adventures in Educational Blogging blog that was posted on our class blog. In this blog, the teacher had created a blog site for her students and linked it with other 3rd grade classes from Bangkok, Pennslyvania, and Florida. These students then posted comments to each other's blogs. It was a pen pal sort of thing but online.
The person who writes this blog definitely wants to incorporate technology in her classroom as much as possible. She talked about using Skype and then using that to make a podcast.
Another blog post was about finding ways to take her classroom to the home a student that was homebound for awhile after being in the hospital. She was asking for different suggestions of what she could use. One idea she had was a "Elluminate's vRoom". I have no clue what this is but it sounds interesting enough. She did get several comments with different suggestions of what she could use but none of which that I have ever heard of.
It is interesting to see the different ideas of technology use in a classroom. I would love to be able to become more knowledgeable for what is out there so that I could use it in my classroom.

Reading the blogs of other teachers is one of the best ways to keep up with what is new and what others are doing. It would be great if you could find one by a Math teacher. You might want to try Google's Blog Search http://blogsearch.google.com/ to find a blog that you like.
