I learned today how to spell my name using flickr. It was fun to be able to play with it and see all the different letters that they have. I'm not sure how to use it in my math class unless we did something at the beginning of the year as an introduction for all the students. But it was still fun to play with.
I also found another fun tool with flickr. Its a tool that you can use to make your own little pocket photo album. You just need to have a flickr account and link your pictures from that to the album. I love doing things with pictures and so this was a fun thing to find. And will probably use a lot now that I found it!
Web 2.0 can be used in many ways in the classroom. I liked the idea of having the blog where students can post homework right to that. And the idea of recording discussions is good. It would probably come more in handy to record my lessons so that if students miss a day of class they won't miss the entire lesson.
The other things that I found, such as the picture creations, might not have as much grounding in the classroom but they are fun to play with.
