Test Day

Thursday was a test day for one of the math classes I observe. It was interesting. The first person got done after testing for about 15 minutes. Logically, one would think that if they got done that quickly that they would have done fairly well, but no that was not the case. My teacher graded his test right away and he got about a 30% or so. I was surprised.
She graded the rest during the next class which I watched. There were only a couple 90% and a couple 80% but mostly the students got about 60% or below. She was definitely not happy to see these scores and I can't blame her. I would not be so happy if my students scored that way on a test. I wasn't there the next day when she handed them back and went over them so I don't know how everything ended up but it was an interesting day to take part in.
